in foal to Rubino Bellissimo for 2009

More congratulations are in order for Maybach! On Saturday, October 11, Maybach won her dressage test with a score of 63%. This was Maybach's first horse show and the first time she had even seen a dressage ring.  Nor had we even practiced the test prior to the actual test.  I was so very proud of her.

Congratulations to our homebred, Maybach (Landwerder/Budweiser), on her success at the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society Inspection on July 19, 2008 in achieving an overall score of 6.9.

Maybach has been well started under saddle and has super rideability!  She's so easy and uncomplicated, kind, willing and never spooky - whether at home or away. She will make a very talented hunter or lovely dressage horse for the amateur rider.

Maybach is in foal to Rubino Bellissimo for 2009.  I saw a few Rubino Bellissimo foals in 2007 that really impressed me with their type, conformation and movement.  I noted that RB made vast improvements over the mare.  I am confident that Maybach's 2009 Rubino Bellissimo foal will be simply stunning! It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it! With so much jumper blood in Maybach's pedigree and with Volturno in Rubino's pedigree, the resulting foal should should have much jumping talent in addition to dressage potential!   I really have a wonderful feeling about this cross!

Maybach's pedigree is outstanding.  Please read below for information on Landwerder and Budweiser.

LANDWERDER (Landadel x Fureida II x Gotthard)
owned and standing at: http://www.silvercreeksporthorses.com/silverlining.html

Shown under the name “Silver Lining”, LANDWERDER was the Reserve Grand champion of the International Jumper Futurity finals. Landwerder had a successful start in the hunter ring before changing over to the dressage ring. Ridden by top trainers Charlotte Brendahl and Katherine Bateson he has mastered all the GRAND PRIX movements. His Dam, Elite State Premium

Landwerder comes from proven lineage sired by the top producer, Landadel, and out of the fourfold stallion producing dam and elite mare, Fureida II, who descends from the famous Heida line. Fureida II is of the successful Gotthard / Furioso II cross which also produced Voltaire. She is the dam of the approved stallion, Coulthard, and the mare, Heideglück, who produced the approved stallion, Incello. Landwerder's older full brother, Laertes, was successfully competed in the international jumping ring. Another full brother, Lagoheidor, was both Champion of the Oldenburger stallion selections in 1994 and won the performance test in Medingen in 1995. He now competes Grand Prix dressage. A third full brother, Landor S, won the Bundeschampionat in 1997 and was chosen to be the Oldenburger Jumping Stallion of the Year. He followed this up with many big wins including Reserve Landeskampion, Reserve Weser-Ems Champion in 1999, and winner of the Volvo Cup 'S' jumping competition in Elmlohe. Landor S is the sire of 6 'Briljant' show mares, many Champion mares and stallions, more than 20 approved sons, and has had many offspring qualify for the Bundeschampionat.  Landwerder was bred by Gerd Sosath.

Budweiser (Burggraaf keur x Hirkeress prov keur x Voltaire keur pref) owned and standing at: http://www.kitaralodge.com/stallions.htm

1994, 17 hh Dutch Warmblood. In his pedigree, Budweiser has the 5 top European stallions consecutively: Burggraaf keur, Voltaire keur pref, Ahorn Z (v. Alme), Landgraf I, and Roman. Budweiser completed the 100 day performance test at Pruessendorf with a score of 126.20 points for jumping (3rd). For his character, he scored a perfect 10 and scored 9 in Free Jumping, Temperament and Ability to Work.

Budweiser has a performance pedigree with the 5 top European stallions in a row; Burggraaf keur, Voltaire keur pref, Ahorn Z (v. Alme), Landgraf I, and Roman. Sire Burggraaf and damsire Voltaire are the two most popular stallions for showjumper breeders in the Netherlands. Both stallions obtained high rankings in the World Breeding rankings and produce Grand Prix winners consistently. Burggraaf’s Jumping Index is at 168 with a reliability of 92% and Voltaire’s Jumping Index is 161 with a reliability of 94% . For sporthorse breeding the combination of Burggraaf and Voltaire has proven to be an excellent combination. In the fourth generation of Budweiser’s pedigree, we find Reizvolle, which is a full sister to the international jumper Lovely Boy of Norbert Kook.

Breeding record:   His first foal crop has hit the ground in Holland. They showed very good conformation, movement and overall temperament. With his first foal crop in the USA, he had 2 stallion prospects, 5 site champions and is rated #1 for producing premium foals.  Budweiser has sired 22 Premium foals between years 2000 – 2002. Budweiser is owned by and standing at Kitara Lodge in Australia.
